Surely one of the most distinctive VR mixes of recent times. It's hard to put together something with a calmer vibe without descending into dreariness but this is a truly gorgeous soundscape from No Regrets, with some downtempo beats and chilled-out dubstep to stir the emotions and soothe the soul. Featuring great tunes from A Sagittariun, Phaeleh and Jon Hopkins among others.

A mix that evokes memories of dark, candlelit after-night gatherings. The Clown 'n' Sunset-inspired opening gives a spooky feel to proceedings and while things pick up tempo-wise, the sparseness of the music perpetuates the initial eeriness. A surreal remix of a Green Velvet classic is accompanied some transcendent techno, both elevating the spirit and plunging it into oblivion.

Vibe Rater: The Classics #2 (IDMDNB) [Mixed by DJ Horsfall]

A real lesson in beats here from DJ Horsfall. We’re treated to some inventively-mixed IDM, as well as something a bit more leftfield from the likes of Praga Khan, before proceedings are rounded off with some classic jungle and bit of drum ‘n’ bass. Marrying these styles into something both coherent and enjoyable is no mean feat, and must rank among the highlights of Horsfall’s distinguished underground career.
